Comemoração- Missa da Féria (próprio do Domingo)
Há uma comemoração de São Remígio, que por setenta e quatro anos foi bispo de Reims, na França, converteu e batizou o Rei Clóvis, e, assim, trouxe o cristianismo para os francos. Ele é venerado por sua doutrina e por seus poderes miraculosos, bem como em razão de sua santidade. Suas homilias foram perdidas, mas quatro de suas cartas ainda existem, bem como alguns versos escritos por ele e destinados a serem gravados em um cálice, e também o seu último testamento. Ele morreu em janeiro de 533.

Epístola (Ef 4, 23-28)
Leitura de São Paulo Apóstolo aos Efésios
Irmãos: revesti-vos do homem novo, criado à imagem de Deus, em verdadeira justiça e santidade. Por isso, renunciai à mentira. Fale cada um a seu próximo a verdade, pois somos membros uns dos outros. Mesmo em cólera, não pequeis. Não se ponha o sol sobre o vosso ressentimento. Não deis lugar ao demônio. Quem era ladrão não torne a roubar, antes trabalhe seriamente por realizar o bem com as suas próprias mãos, para ter com que socorrer os necessitados.
Evangelho (Mt 22, 1-14)

Naquele tempo: Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas: O Reino dos céus é comparado a um rei que celebrava as bodas do seu filho. Enviou seus servos para chamar os convidados, mas eles não quiseram vir. Enviou outros ainda, dizendo-lhes: Dizei aos convidados que já está preparado o meu banquete; meus bois e meus animais cevados estão mortos, tudo está preparado. Vinde às bodas! Mas, sem se importarem com aquele convite, foram-se, um a seu campo e outro para seu negócio. Outros lançaram mãos de seus servos, insultaram-nos e os mataram. O rei soube e indignou-se em extremo. Enviou suas tropas, matou aqueles assassinos e incendiou-lhes a cidade. Disse depois a seus servos: O festim está pronto, mas os convidados não foram dignos. Ide às encruzilhadas e convidai para as bodas todos quantos achardes. Espalharam-se eles pelos caminhos e reuniram todos quantos acharam, maus e bons, de modo que a sala do banquete ficou repleta de convidados. O rei entrou para vê-los e viu ali um homem que não trazia a veste nupcial. Perguntou-lhe: Meu amigo, como entraste aqui, sem a veste nupcial? O homem não proferiu palavra alguma. Disse então o rei aos servos: Amarrai-lhe os pés e as mãos e lançai-o nas trevas exteriores. Ali haverá choro e ranger de dentes. Porque muitos são os chamados, e poucos os escolhidos.

Epistle (Ephesians 4: 23-28)

Brethren, Be ye renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new man, who according in God, is created in justice and holiness of truth. Wherefore, putting away lying, speak ye the truth every man with his neighbor, for we are members of one another. Be angry, and sin not. Let not the sun go down upon your anger. Give not place to the devil. He that stole, let him now steal no more but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have something to give to him that suffereth need.
Gospel (Matt. 22: 1-14)

At that time, Jesus spoke to the chief priests and the Pharisees in parables, saying: The kingdom of Heaven is likened to a king, who made a marriage for his son and he sent his servants, to call them that were invited to the marriage, and they would not come. Again he sent other servants, saying: Tell them that were invited: Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come ye to the marriage. But they neglected and went their way, one to his farm, and another to his merchandise and the rest laid their hands on his servants, and having treated them contumeliously, put them to death. But when the king heard of it, he was angry and sending his armies, he destroyed those murderers, and burnt their city. Then he saith to his servants: The marriage indeed is ready, but they that were invited were not worthy, Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as you shall find, call to the marriage. And his servants going forth into the ways, gathered together all that they found, both bad and good and the marriage was filled with guests. And the king went in to see the guests and he saw there a man who had not on a wedding garment: and he saith to him: Friend, how camest thou in hither, not having on a wedding garment? but he was silent. Then the king said to the waiters: Bind his hands and feet, and cast him into the exterior darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For many are called, but few are chosen.”
