Leitura da Epístola de São Paulo Apóstolo a Tito.
Irmãos: Manifestou-se, com efeito, a graça de Deus, fonte de salvação para todos os homens. Veio para nos ensinar a renunciar à impiedade e às paixões mundanas e a viver neste mundo com toda sobriedade, justiça e piedade, na expectativa da nossa esperança feliz, a aparição gloriosa de nosso grande Deus e Salvador, Jesus Cristo, que se entregou por nós, a fim de nos resgatar de toda a iniqüidade, nos purificar e nos constituir seu povo de predileção, zeloso na prática do bem. Eis o que deves ensinar, pregar e defender com toda a autoridade. E que ninguém te menospreze!

Epistle (Titus 2: 11-15)
Lesson from the Epistle of blessed Paul the Apostle to Titus.
Dearly beloved: For the grace of God our Saviour hath appeared to all men: Instructing us, that, denying ungodliness and worldly desires, we should live soberly and justly and godly in this world, looking for the blessed hope and coming of the glory of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity and might cleanse to himself a people acceptable, a pursuer of good works. These things speak and exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
