In illo témpore: Venit Iesus in partes Cæsaréæ Philíppi, et interrogábat discípulos suos, dicens: Quem dicunt hómines esse Fílium hóminis? At illi dixérunt: Alii Ioánnem Baptístam, alii autem Elíam, alii vero Ieremíam aut unum ex prophétis. Dicit illis Iesus: Vos autem quem me esse dícitis? Respóndens Simon Petrus, dixit: Tu es Christus, Fílius Dei vivi. Respóndens autem Iesus, dixit ei: Beátus es, Simon Bar Iona: quia caro et sanguis non revelávit tibi, sed Pater meus, qui in coelis est. Et ego dico tibi, quia tu es Petrus, et super hanc petram ædificábo Ecclésiam meam, et portæ ínferi non prævalébunt advérsus eam. Et tibi dabo claves regni coelórum. Et quodcúmque ligáveris super terram, erit ligátum et in coelis: et quodcúmque sólveris super terram, erit solútum et in coelis.

Naquele tempo: Jesus chegou ao território de Cesaréia de Filipe, e perguntou a seus discípulos: No dizer do povo, quem é o Filho do Homem? Responderam: Uns dizem que é João Batista; outros, Elias; outros, Jeremias ou um dos profetas. Disse-lhes Jesus: E vós quem dizeis que eu sou? Simão Pedro respondeu: Tu és o Cristo, o Filho de Deus vivo! Jesus então lhe disse: Feliz és, Simão, filho de Jonas, porque não foi a carne nem o sangue que te revelou isto, mas meu Pai que está nos céus. E eu te declaro: tu és Pedro, e sobre esta pedra edificarei a minha Igreja; as portas do inferno não prevalecerão contra ela. Eu te darei as chaves do Reino dos céus: tudo o que ligares na terra será ligado nos céus, e tudo o que desligares na terra será desligado nos céus.

In that time: Jesus came into the quarters of Caesarea Philippi: and he asked his disciples, saying: Whom do men say that the Son of man is? But they said: Some John the Baptist, and other some Elias, and others Jeremias, or one of the prophets. Jesus saith to them: But whom do you say that I am? Simon Peter answered and said: Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answering, said to him: Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-Jona: because flesh and blood hath not revealed it to thee, but my Father who is in heaven. And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven.

In illo témpore: Dixit Iesus discípulis suis: Vos estis sal terræ. Quod si sal evanúerit, in quo saliétur? Ad níhilum valet ultra, nisi ut mittátur foras, et conculcétur ab homínibus. Vos estis lux mundi. Non potest cívitas abscóndi supra montem pósita. Neque accéndunt lucérnam, et ponunt eam sub módio, sed super candelábrum, ut lúceat ómnibus qui in domo sunt. Sic lúceat lux vestra coram homínibus, ut vídeant ópera vestra bona, et gloríficent Patrem vestrum, qui in coelis est. Nolíte putáre, quóniam veni sólvere legem aut prophétas: non veni sólvere, sed adimplére. Amen, quippe dico vobis, donec tránseat coelum et terra, iota unum aut unus apex non præteríbit a lege, donec ómnia fiant. Qui ergo solvent unum de mandátis istis mínimis, et docúerit sic hómines, mínimus vocábitur in regno coelórum: qui autem fécerit et docúerit, hic magnus vocábitur in regno coelórum.

Mateus 5:13-19
Naquele tempo: disse Jesus aos seus discípulos: Vós sois o sal da terra. Se o sal perde o sabor, com que lhe será restituído o sabor? Para nada mais serve senão para ser lançado fora e calcado pelos homens. Vós sois a luz do mundo. Não se pode esconder uma cidade situada sobre uma montanha nem se acende uma luz para colocá-la debaixo do alqueire, mas sim para colocá-la sobre o candeeiro, a fim de que brilhe a todos os que estão em casa. Assim, brilhe vossa luz diante dos homens, para que vejam as vossas boas obras e glorifiquem vosso Pai que está nos céus. Não julgueis que vim abolir a lei ou os profetas. Não vim para os abolir, mas sim para levá-los à perfeição. Pois em verdade vos digo: passará o céu e a terra, antes que desapareça um jota, um traço da lei. Aquele que violar um destes mandamentos, por menor que seja, e ensinar assim aos homens, será declarado o menor no Reino dos céus. Mas aquele que os guardar e os ensinar será declarado grande no Reino dos céus.

Matthew 5:13-19
In that time Jesus said to His disciples: You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt lose its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is good for nothing any more but to be cast out, and to be trodden on by men. You are the light of the world. A city seated on a mountain cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but upon a candlestick, that it may shine to all that are in the house. So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. Do not think that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For amen I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot, or one tittle shall not pass of the law, till all be fulfilled. He therefore that shall break one of these least commandments, and shall so teach men, shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven. But he that shall do and teach, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

In illo témpore: Dixit Iesus pharisaeis: Ego sum pastor bonus. Bonus pastor ánimam suam dat pro óvibus suis. Mercennárius autem et qui non est pastor, cuius non sunt oves própriæ, videt lupum veniéntem, et dimíttit oves et fugit: et lupus rapit et dispérgit oves: mercennárius autem fugit, quia mercennárius est et non pértinet ad eum de óvibus. Ego sum pastor bonus: et cognósco meas et cognóscunt me meæ. Sicut novit me Pater, et ego agnósco Patrem, et ánimam meam pono pro óvibus meis. Et alias oves hábeo, quæ non sunt ex hoc ovili: et illas opórtet me addúcere, et vocem meam áudient, et fiet unum ovíle et unus pastor.

João 10:11-16
Naquele tempo: disse Jesus ao fariseus: Eu sou o bom pastor. O bom pastor expõe a sua vida pelas ovelhas. O mercenário, porém, que não é pastor, a quem não pertencem as ovelhas, quando vê que o lobo vem vindo, abandona as ovelhas e foge; o lobo rouba e dispersa as ovelhas. O mercenário, porém, foge, porque é mercenário e não se importa com as ovelhas. Eu sou o bom pastor. Conheço as minhas ovelhas e as minhas ovelhas conhecem a mim, como meu Pai me conhece e eu conheço o Pai. Dou a minha vida pelas minhas ovelhas. Tenho ainda outras ovelhas que não são deste aprisco. Preciso conduzi-las também, e ouvirão a minha voz e haverá um só rebanho e um só pastor.

John 10:11-16
At that time Jesus said to the Pharisees: I am the good Shepherd. The good Shepherd giveth his life for his sheep. But the hireling, and he that is not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming and leaveth the sheep and flieth: and the wolf catcheth and scattereth the sheep: and the hireling flieth, because he is a hireling, and he hath no care for the sheep. I am the good Shepherd: and I know Mine, and Mine know Me, as the Father knoweth Me, and I know the Father: and I lay down My life for My sheep. And other sheep I have that are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear My voice, and there shall be one fold and one shepherd.
