Lucam 1:26-38
In illo témpore: Missus est Angelus Gábriel a Deo in civitátem Galilaeæ, cui nomen Názareth, ad Vírginem desponsátam viro, cui nomen erat Ioseph, de domo David. et nomen Vírginis María. Ei ingréssus Angelus ad eam, dixit: Ave, grátia plena; Dóminus tecum: benedícta tu in muliéribus. Quæ cum audísset, turbáta est in sermóne eius: et cogitábat, qualis esset ista salutátio. Et ait Angelus ei: Ne tímeas, María, invenísti enim grátiam apud Deum: ecce, concípies in útero et páries fílium, et vocábis nomen eius Iesum. Hic erit magnus, et Fílius Altíssimi vocábitur, et dabit illi Dóminus Deus sedem David, patris eius: et regnábit in domo Iacob in aetérnum, et regni eius non erit finis. Dixit autem María ad Angelum: Quómodo fiet istud, quóniam virum non cognósco? Et respóndens Angelus, dixit ei: Spíritus Sanctus supervéniet in te, et virtus Altíssimi obumbrábit tibi. Ideóque et quod nascétur ex te Sanctum, vocábitur Fílius Dei. Et ecce, Elísabeth, cognáta tua, et ipsa concépit fílium in senectúte sua: et hic mensis sextus est illi, quæ vocátur stérilis: quia non erit impossíbile apud Deum omne verbum. Dixit autem María: Ecce ancílla Dómini, fiat mihi secúndum verbum tuum.

Lucas 1:26-38
Naquele tempo: o anjo Gabriel foi enviado por Deus a uma cidade da Galiléia, chamada Nazaré, a uma virgem desposada com um homem que se chamava José, da casa de Davi e o nome da virgem era Maria. Entrando, o anjo disse-lhe: Ave, cheia de graça, o Senhor é contigo. Perturbou-se ela com estas palavras e pôs-se a pensar no que significaria semelhante saudação. O anjo disse-lhe: Não temas, Maria, pois encontraste graça diante de Deus. Eis que conceberás e darás à luz um filho, e lhe porás o nome de Jesus. Ele será grande e chamar-se-á Filho do Altíssimo, e o Senhor Deus lhe dará o trono de seu pai Davi; e reinará eternamente na casa de Jacó, e o seu reino não terá fim. Maria perguntou ao anjo: Como se fará isso, pois não conheço homem? Respondeu-lhe o anjo: O Espírito Santo descerá sobre ti, e a força do Altíssimo te envolverá com a sua sombra. Por isso o ente santo que nascer de ti será chamado Filho de Deus. Também Isabel, tua parenta, até ela concebeu um filho na sua velhice; e já está no sexto mês aquela que é tida por estéril, porque a Deus nenhuma coisa é impossível. Então disse Maria: Eis aqui a serva do Senhor. Faça-se em mim segundo a tua palavra.

Luke 1:26-38
At that time, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary. And when the angel had come to her, he said, Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women. When she had heard him she was troubled at his word, and kept pondering what manner of greeting this might be. And the angel said to her, Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found grace with God. Behold, you shall conceive in your womb and shall bring forth a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of David His father, and He shall be king over the house of Jacob forever; and of His kingdom there shall be no end. But Mary said to the angel, How shall this happen, since I do not know man? And the angel answered and said to her, The Holy Spirit shall come upon you, and the power of the Most High shall overshadow you; and therefore the Holy One to be born shall be called the Son of God. And behold, Elizabeth your kinswoman also has conceived a son in her old age, and she who was called barren is now in her sixth month; for nothing shall be impossible with God. But Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it done to me according to your word.
