Matthaeum 21:33-46
In illo témpore: Dixit Iesus turbis Iudæórum et princípibus sacerdótum parábolam hanc: Homo erat paterfamílias, qui plantávit víneam, et sepem circúmdedit ei, et fodit in ea tórcular, et ædificávit turrim, et locávit eam agrícolis, et péregre proféctus est. Cum autem tempus frúctuum appropinquásset, misit servos suos ad agrícolas, ut accíperent fructus eius. Et agrícolæ, apprehénsis servis eius, alium cecidérunt, alium occidérunt, álium vero lapidavérunt. Iterum misit álios servos plures prióribus, et fecérunt illis simíliter. Novíssime autem misit ad eos fílium suum, dicens: Verebúntur fílium meum. Agrícolæ autem vidéntes fílium, dixérunt intra se: Hic est heres, veníte, occidámus eum, et habébimus hereditátem eius. Et apprehénsum eum eiecérunt extra víneam, et occidérunt. Cum ergo vénerit dóminus víneæ, quid fáciet agrícolis illis? Aiunt illi: Malos male perdet: et víneam suam locábit áliis agrícolis, qui reddant ei fructum tempóribus suis. Dicit illis Iesus: Numquam legístis in Scriptúris: Lápidem, quem reprobavérunt ædificántes, hic factus est in caput ánguli? A Dómino factum est istud, et est mirábile in óculis nostris. Ideo dico vobis, quia auferétur a vobis regnum Dei, et dábitur genti faciénti fructus eius. Et qui cecíderit super lápidem istum, confringétur: super quem vero cecíderit, cónteret eum. Et cum audíssent príncipes sacerdótum et pharisaei parábolas eius, cognovérunt, quod de ipsis díceret. Et quæréntes eum tenére, timuérunt turbas: quóniam sicut Prophétam eum habébant.

Mateus 21:33-46
Naquele tempo: disse Jesus à multidão e aos chefes sacerdotes esta parábola: havia um pai de família que plantou uma vinha. Cercou-a com uma sebe, cavou um lagar e edificou uma torre. E, tendo-a arrendado a lavradores, deixou o país. Vindo o tempo da colheita, enviou seus servos aos lavradores para recolher o produto de sua vinha. Mas os lavradores agarraram os servos, feriram um, mataram outro e apedrejaram o terceiro. Enviou outros servos em maior número que os primeiros, e fizeram-lhes o mesmo. Enfim, enviou seu próprio filho, dizendo: Hão de respeitar meu filho. Os lavradores, porém, vendo o filho, disseram uns aos outros: Eis o herdeiro! Matemo-lo e teremos a sua herança! Lançaram-lhe as mãos, conduziram-no para fora da vinha e o assassinaram. Pois bem: quando voltar o senhor da vinha, que fará ele àqueles lavradores? Responderam-lhe: Mandará matar sem piedade aqueles miseráveis e arrendará sua vinha a outros lavradores que lhe pagarão o produto em seu tempo. Jesus acrescentou: Nunca lestes nas Escrituras: A pedra rejeitada pelos construtores tornou-se a pedra angular; isto é obra do Senhor, e é admirável aos nossos olhos? Por isso vos digo: ser-vos-á tirado o Reino de Deus, e será dado a um povo que produzirá os frutos dele. Aquele que tropeçar nesta pedra, far-se-á em pedaços; e aquele sobre quem ela cair será esmagado. Ouvindo isto, os príncipes dos sacerdotes e os fariseus compreenderam que era deles que Jesus falava. E procuravam prendê-lo; mas temeram o povo, que o tinha por um profeta.

Matthew 21:33-46
At that time, Jesus spoke this parable to the multitude of the Jews and the chief priests: There was a man, a householder, who planted a vineyard, and put a hedge about it, and dug a wine vat in it, and built a tower; then he let it out to vine-dressers, and went abroad. But when the fruit season drew near, he sent his servants to the vine-dressers to receive his fruits. And the vine-dressers seized his servants, and beat one, killed another, and stoned another. Again he sent another party of servants more numerous than the first; and they did the same to these. Finally he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ But the vine-dressers, on seeing the son, said among themselves, ‘This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and we shall have his inheritance.’ So they seized him, cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. When, therefore, the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vine-dressers? They said to Him, He will utterly destroy those evil men, and will let out the vineyard to other vine-dressers, who will render to him the fruits in their seasons. Jesus said to them, Did you never read in the Scriptures, ‘The stone which the builders rejected, has become the cornerstone; by the Lord this has been done, and it is wonderful in our eyes’? Therefore I say to you, that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and will be given to a people yielding its fruits. And he who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; but upon whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder. And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard His parables, they knew that He was speaking about them. And though they sought to lay hands on Him, they feared the people, because they regarded Him as a prophet.
